Statement:

Having studied fine art and it's history, done some drawing, printmaking, ceramics, photography, sculpture, painting, and thought in terms of visualizations. I now have embarked also, on the road of technology with 3d computer generated imagery. For me, it seems that all I have done before has been but a precursor for what I am to do now, and tomorrow.
Philosophy too, is an integral part of my art. Visual art gives me a means with which to express philosophical ideas. Though I have studied both art and philosophy rigorously, there are always truths to be discovered in both.
Philosophy teaches thought and concepts, while drawing teaches me to see. Printmaking, shows me process. Ceramics, touch. Photography, composition. Painting teaches me about color, texture, control, and ideation. Sculpture is about putting it all together, in the round. And 3d computer generated imagery is about clean speed, exploration, depth, instant gratification, and surprise.
I like basic, natural shapes. Give me a square, triangle, and circle and I'll do something different with it. Sometimes the concepts lead the way, while other times, the action before dictates the action after. This leaves me wide open for interpretation, and surprise. Light, contrast, shape, line, color, texture, composition and concept, along with rhythm too.
All are noticed.
